Stuart Singer
Stuart Singer is a New York City based performer and teacher. He currently collaborates with choreographer Gwen Welliver, and has recently worked alongside choreographers and directors Beth Gill, John Jasperse, Joanna Kotze, Pam Tanowitz, Wally Cardona, Lucinda Childs, Robert Wilson, Andrew Ondrejcak, Mollye Maxner, Lindsay Clark, Doug Varone, Yanira Castro, Jack Ferver, Christopher Williams, Netta Yerushalmy, John Scott, and as a dancer in the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company (2004-2008). He is the recipient of a 2014 New York Dance and Performance "Bessie" Award for Outstanding Performer, and was named one of Dance Magazine's 2015 "25 to Watch." Stuart is currently teaches at Princeton University, Movement Research, and the American Dance Festival, and has also recently taught at Bard College, Bennington College and SUNY-Purchase College Conservatory of Dance. Originally from Western Massachusetts, he is a graduate of SUNY-Purchase College Conservatory of Dance.
